Dr. Jiaying (Jane) Qian serves as a staff pediatrician and the local department head of pediatrics at Burnaby General Hospital. In addition, she is currently a consultant pediatrician in Burnaby (@Kingsway Medical Clinic). She is board certified in general pediatrics in both Canada and the United States. Her interest includes newborn & infant care, developmental surveillance, emergency medicine and asthma management. 

Dr. Qian received her medical education from Fudan University Shanghai Medical College (the former Shanghai Medical University) and completed her residency training in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto for her research work in molecular biology. 

Apart from her interest in clinical practice, she is actively involved in Quality Improvement Projects to develop protocols and improve patient-centered care. She enjoys travelling with her family in her spare time.
